GAVIN DeGRAW PREVIEWS NEXT ALBUM

Gavin DeGraw is working on his next record, and he’s working to top his last effort. DeGraw’s last album Chariot, has been certified platinum for sales of one million units, and his single “I Don’t Want To Be” has been certified double platinum.

DeGraw was recently at the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City, and we caught up with him and found out about where he’s at with the next record.

“I don’t have a release date. I’m still writing it. So I’m writing the last three songs in the repertoire for the album.”

We then asked Gavin what he thought the biggest obstacle has been so far in getting the new effort done.

“The biggest obstacle in getting it done is trying to honor the fanbase that you picked up along the way with the first album and satisfy them, while you are trying to attract a new group of people to get into your music. It’s a marriage involved, you know?”

“Chariot” has recently been released in the U.K. DeGraw, is scheduled to play Shepherd’s Bush on August 18.
