GARRY MARSHALL HITS THE HEIGHTS
Director Garry Marshall had to overcome his fear of heights in Keeping Up With The Steins. While shooting the bar mitzvah party scene his character is zealously lifted high up in a chair. Garry says he’s grateful they were strong burly men instead of old scrawny uncles doing the heavy lifting. |
Keeping Up With The Steins also features Entourage star Jeremy Piven as Marshall’s son who goes overboard to give his thirteen year old son the bar mitzvah of the century.rn |
“I think the most fun so far was the big party at the end of the movie where I got to be honest with you I’m afraid of heights. I’ve never liked ‘up’ and in the last part of the film they lift me in a chair. That was the most challenging, A- I didn’t get nauseous and B, I didn’t freak out from the heights. They had these strong people lift me up. In real bar mitzvahs old uncles do it and they drop everybody but in this case they hired people to lift. That was the most challenging up there in the chair, somehow I survived.” |
