FROM KATHARINE MCPHEE TO LIL JON, FRIENDS COME OUT TO SUPPORT MAROON 5
Maroon 5 held their private record release party and many of the friends and family came out to support the bands new album. |
Maroon 5 held their private party to celebrate the release of their new album ‘It Won’t Be Soon Before Long’ late last month upon the album’s release. Friends and family gathered to support the band, who are clearly relieved that after 5 years between new albums, it’s finally out and in the stores. Showing up to lend support for Maroon 5 were friends JC Chasez, Bill Mahr, Adam Brody, Alison Lohman, Amber Tamblyn, Chris Evans, Gavin DeGraw, Katherine McPhee, Kenna, Lance Bass, Lil Jon, Seth Green, Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age and Paul Banks of Interpol, to name a few. |
We caught up with Katherine McPhee of American Idol fame to get her thoughts on Maroon 5’s new album and party. |
“I’m definitely a Maroon 5 fan. I love all their songs off their first record and I’m loving their new single and I’m looking forward to getting the record. I’m just excited to get in there. You always want to get into the party. I never get to go out. I’m always working, so I’m definitely looking forward to just relaxing and kicking back and having a little party time.” |
Super producer, self proclaimed Crunk-a-holic and party circuit regular Lil Jon and former N-Sync member JC Chasez both stopped by to share their thoughts on Maroon 5’s new album and the party. |
“(Lil Jon) Supporting my boys. The album is coming out so I’m here supporting the boys and I’m going to have a good time.” (JC Chasez) “These guys have always been great to me. We’ve been friends for awhile and I always love what they do. I’m excited, like I said I got to hear some of the demos before they came out so it’s nice to see the whole thing a finished picture. It took them awhile to do it and I mean they are one of Americas favorite bands and one of the best bands in the world. I’m glad the public finally gets to hear this stuff because I know I was when I heard it. So, I’m coming to be supportive.” |
So as Maroon 5’s friends and family filtered into the party, lead singer Adam Levine and guitarist James Valentine admitted the record release party and all the fuss over the album is a little new to them. |
“We worked on this record for so long and it’s been so long since our last record and we feel it’s really surreal to be here now. To have all this stuff surrounding us it’s pretty new for us.” |
‘It Won’t Be Soon Before Long’ is currently in stores now and the band is out on the road for their initial run of small club tour dates which began May 30th in Boston. Maroon 5 are also extremely excited to be sharing the stage with The Police July 10th, 2007 at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Flordia. The band even admitted The Police where an influence in the recording of the new album as well. Look for more tour dates to be announced soon. |
