FREE OZZFEST REVEALS TICKETING SYSTEM
This year’s free OzzFest has finally revealed a ticketing system. |
OzzFest has revealed how they’re going to distribute tickets for FreeFest as this year’s tour has been called. The line-up currently features Ozzy Osbourne, Lamb Of God, Hatebreed, Lordi, Behemoth, Mondo Generator, Nile, Ankla, Circus Diablo, The Showdown, 3 Inches of Blood, Daath, Chthonic and In This Moment. Starting on May 12, codes to acquire tickets will be available at some of the tour sponsors websites. Details will be available at ozzfest.com, livenation.com, monsterenergy.com, jagermusic.com and fye.com. |
Basically there will be a two ticket per person limit to ensure everyone gets tickets. Fans should return to the site where they got their ticket code on June 12 to get their two tickets to the free concert. In an interview after the press conference announcing “FreeFest,” Sharon and Ozzy talked about the rationale behind the groundbreaking event. |
[Ozzy] “It’s a good challenge for anyone just to go (out for free). Because the kids that go there haven’t got much anyway, and without those kids we wouldn’t be living in these high-style houses and driving flashy cars and all of this. Sharon said to me, ‘You know what? Rock and roll is outpricing itself, you know?’ [Sharon] “It’s right now, I think it’s like a two-headed monster. You can’t feed it enough. And everybody, of course, every year wants more and more and more. We do. I’m not saying we don’t love money. We love it, especially me. But it’s enough. You have to know when to say enough is enough. It’s time to give back something.” |
The 12th Annual OzzFest kicks off July 12 in Seattle, Washington. Those who are not web savvy can get details from offline sites and methods to get the free tickets. |
