FRAN DRESCHER REACHES OUT TO ANGELINA JOLIE FOR CANCER CAUSE

Fran Drescher recruits Angelina Jolie to join Cancer Schmancer Movement.

The Nanny star Fran Drescher came out to support Angelina Jolie’s film A Mighty Heart to thank the star for supporting a very important cause that is near and dear to Drescher’s heart.

Drescher, a cancer survivor who wrote the book Cancer Schmancer detailing her experiences explains how the two women are going to combine forces.

“She is supporting me on the Cancer Schmancer movement. You know her mother had women’s cancer that she died from and I’m a gynecologic cancer survivor and our organization is dedicated to ensure that all women’s cancers get diagnosed in stage one when they’re most curable because early detection equals survival. So we’re gonna figure that out. I think we’re gonna do a PSA together.”

Fran feels that her celebrity like Jolie’s only helps to spread the word about the killer disease.

“I feel I got famous, I got cancer and I lived to talk about it so it’s given me a sense of purpose to my life that I didn’t have before. And I think what I’m doing is important and very necessary.”

Fran is conducting a national launch of the Cancer Schmancer Movement June 21 in New York to attract other celebrities and create awareness for this very important cause.
