FRACTURE SUITS RYAN GOSLING
Ryan Gosling stars in Fracture as Willy Beachum an ambitious assistant district attorney who is thinking of going corporate when a slam dunk case comes his way; a man has admitted to the police that he shot his wife. |
Instead winning the case becomes an elaborate game of cat and mouse between Gosling and the accused Ted Crawford played by Anthony Hopkins. |
“He can’t lose this case because it would jeopardize either one of his jobs. Either the job that he has or the job that he wants to have so it’s not really an option. And whatever his reasons are for not doing it are personal. I don’t think he wants to see a murderer get loose especially someone that’s enjoying it as much as Crawford seems to be.” |
Ryan says he was relieved to be wearing a suit for a change. |
“Well I was real happy to wear suits in a movie because now my mother won’t feel like such a failure. All I do is play bad guys and I think she’s starting to get a complex. It’ll be nice to be in a movie that she can show her friends you know that she doesn’t feel she messed up somehow.” |
Ryan actually got the script for Fracture while he was living in a tent for two months in Africa making his documentary about child soldiers in Uganda under the rule of the Lord’s Resistance Army. |
