FOXY BROWN SET FOR TRIAL IN BATTERY CASE
Rapper Foxy Brown has decided to go to trial instead of accepting a plea deal in her Florida battery and resisting arrest case. The rapper turned down a plea deal last week and is now due back in court on September 24th to face misdemeanor charges that could carry a penalty of up to a year in jail. |
Brown was arrested in Pembroke Pines, Florida in February and charged with battery and resisting arrest with violence after she got into an altercation with a beauty supply store owner. She allegedly threw hair glue after being asked to leave the store’s bathroom. |
“Instead of the police officers trying to evaluate the situation, they just saw me, a young black woman, and as a result I was guilty without an investigation of waht actually happened. So here we go again. Inga Marchand aka Foxy Brown is portrayed as going AWOL and as a villan without all the facts being presented. But at the end of the day I am a christian. I have an irrepressable spirit and faith and I will be completely exonerated.” |
But to hear the rapper tell it, she was railroaded by the officer investigating the incident. Brown said, |
