FOXY BROWN SET FOR TRIAL IN BATTERY CASE

Rapper Foxy Brown has decided to go to trial instead of accepting a plea deal in her Florida battery and resisting arrest case. The rapper turned down a plea deal last week and is now due back in court on September 24th to face misdemeanor charges that could carry a penalty of up to a year in jail.

Brown was arrested in Pembroke Pines, Florida in February and charged with battery and resisting arrest with violence after she got into an altercation with a beauty supply store owner. She allegedly threw hair glue after being asked to leave the store’s bathroom.

“Instead of the police officers trying to evaluate the situation, they just saw me, a young black woman, and as a result I was guilty without an investigation of waht actually happened. So here we go again. Inga Marchand aka Foxy Brown is portrayed as going AWOL and as a villan without all the facts being presented. But at the end of the day I am a christian. I have an irrepressable spirit and faith and I will be completely exonerated.”

But to hear the rapper tell it, she was railroaded by the officer investigating the incident. Brown said,
