FOXY BROWN PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO FLORIDA CHARGES
Rapper Foxy Brown finally showed up to Broward County court on Wednesday, March 28th, after a judge issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest last week earlier. The rapper pleaded not guilty to battery and resisiting arrest without charges stemming from an altercation with the owner of a beauty supply store in Pembroke Pines, FL, in February, and now the case will move to the trial phase. |
Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was due in court at 9:00 am but didn’t arrive until 1:30 because her flight was delayed. The rapper explained that she missed her arraignment last week because the notice was sent to her New Jersey address but she now lives in Brooklyn. |
“The so called store owner barged in the bathroom while I was half exposed from the waist down, using the toilet. He demanded that I should leave immediately and refused to close the door and allow me to get dressed properly. Anyone in this situation would be angry and uspet however I demonstrated what I learned during my anger management classes and that is not to engage. I did not spit or assault anyone.” |
The rapper is accused of spitting on and throwing glue at a beauty supply store owner when he asked to leave the store’s bathroom at closing. According to Brown, she didn’t do anything. The rapper explained, |
Brown is currently on probation and taking anger management classed for assaulting two manicurists in 2004. |
