FOXY BROWN FINDS CREATIVE WAY TO RECORD

Foxy Brown will undergo surgery later this month to hopefully rectify a severe hearing problem but the rapper was able to find a way to record even without being able to hear. Brown is featured on the European version of the late Notorious B.I.G.’s new album, Notorious B.I.G. Duets: The Final Chapter. The rapper was able to record her verse for the song by having someone tap on her shoulder so that she could keep the beat and rap along although she couldn’t actually hear the music.

Brown explained what it was like when she initially began to lose her hearing. The rapper said,

“During the recording of my new album, Black Roses, I was diagnosed with sudden severe hearing loss. As time passsed and an incredible anticipation of the album evolved and suddenly I became reclusive, privately suffering with the devastating news of my hearing loss.We take for granted the simple yet powerful words like I love you by our mothers or the subtle supportive words of an enduring fan. But I’m very appreciative of every kind remark, embrace and prayer from my family, fellow artists, and fans.”
