FOO FIGHTERS BOOK SUMMER SHOWS
The Foo Fighters are currently rolling across the U.S. and will return in the summer, and Nate Mendel talked about what fans can expect from the setlist. |
Foo Fighters are currently on the road in support of their latest album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, and they’re hitting the Forum in Inglewood, California in the next two days. The band will be off to Canada, Japan, Australia and then Europe for most of the spring before returning July 9th in Seattle to start their summer dates. |
The Foos, big winners at both the Grammys and the Brit awards, recently sold out Madison Square Garden and they might be considered the biggest modern rock band. Bassist Nate Mendel talks about what fans can expect from their setlist. |
“Probably the songs people know. There probably won’t be a lot of surprises there. It’s only six, we’ve got six albums, well we have exactly six albums, so it will probably be a bit from each period of the band. If we do a twenty song set, it’ll probably be a handful of songs from the new record, four or five.” |
Mendel, who along with keyboardist Rami Jaffe, represented the band at the Grammy Style Studio, was asked if he found anything. |
“The Style Studio? Let’s see. I don’t know (laughs). I got a hat. I’m not much of a hat guy. I figure, I live in Portland. It’s cold. I got myself a nice hat.” |
Foo Fighters have expanded their line-up on this tour leg. Musicians joining them include Jessy Greene on strings, Drew Hester on percussion, Rami Jaffee on keyboards, and Pat Smear on guitar. Opening shows this leg is Serj Tankian, frontman for System Of A Down. |
