Albany, Georgia-based rap duo Field Mob is still promoting their latest album, Light Poles And Pine Trees, which was released in June. The lead single from the project, “So What” featuring Ciara, is on the brink of becoming a Top Ten hit. The song was Number Twelve last week on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The group will be releasing a new single, “Baby Bend Over,” in the coming weeks. |
Group member Smoke explained how the group hooked up with Ciara and what fans could expect from the group’s new single. He said, |
“Oh well you know Ciara is my cousin. That’s my grandmother, granddaughter. I’m my grand mom’s grandson. That’s my auntie daughter, I’m here uncle son. So you know kinfolk, you know what I’m mean? What’s up cuz cuz! We got a song dedicated to the derrieres out there. Just keep it clean for the kids. You know it’s called ‘Baby Bend Over.’ You know what I mean, it’s a hot single. We got another song called ‘The Park.’ You know black people go to the park on Sunday. Drink whatever they drink, smoke whatever they smoke, kick it, you know what I mean? Until the police come shut it down.” |
