FALL OUT BOY GRAMMY WAKE-UP CALL
Fall Out Boy is up against Ciara, Keane, John Legend, and country act SugarLand for the Best New Artist award at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards, which will air on CBS February 8. |
The band has had a big year, and when sonwriter/bassist Pete Wentz was notified about the Grammy Award, he thought it was a dream. Backstage at the recent Z100 Jingle Ball, drummer Patrick Hurley and bassist Pete Wentz recall how they got the good news. |
[Hurley] “I found out from… Patrick texted me.” [Wentz] “Um, our publicist called me at 6:00am in California and I hung up on the phone on her because it was too early in the morning and then I woke up later on and I thought it was a dream. So, I’m having dreams about Karen Weissen over here…” |
This is Fall Out Boy’s first Grammy Nomination. The band is currently mapping out more tour dates in support of their singles “Dance Dance” and “Sugar, We’re Going Down” from their latest release, From Under The Cork Tree. |
