FALL OUT BOY GIVES FANS SUGAR
Fall Out Boy are joining Taking Back Sunday, AFI, John Mayer, and KT Tunstall in trying to get their generation involved in Live Earth’s Green Campaign. |
Fall Out Boy’s latest song, “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” is the band’s first single off their latest effort, From Under The Cork Tree. The band has garnered considerable airplay, landing at Number 11 on the Radio & Records Alternative chart. |
The band recently came off the Warped Tour, where they reconnected with old fans and made some new ones. Fall Out Boy’s Peter Wentz said that the song is mainly based on fans expectations of the band. |
“I think that it could be taken at face value just as a voyeuristic kind of viewing of a situation, but more than anything, it’s like, our fans have these expectations of us when we’re writing this record and it’s us playing those expectations, and kind of, ‘We’re going down, but we’re going down swinging’ kind of like… we’re winking, but we’re taking a fall, I guess.” |
Those who missed Fall Out Boy can see them on the Nintendo Fusion Tour this fall with Motion City Soundtrack and The Starting Line. The tour starts September 28 in Detroit. |
