FALL OUT BOY ARMS RACE MEANT FOR GYM CLASS HEROES
Fall Out Boy’s music writer and singer Patrick Stump lends his vocals and production talent to the song, “Cupid’s Chokehold” the latest single from Fueled By Ramen labelmates Gym Class Heroes. Stump also contributes his likeness to the video clip, but he also contributed much more than that. |
In a recent interview conducted with Stump, he revealed that Fall Out Boy’s smash first single from Infinity On High, “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race,” was originally earmarked to be a hit for Gym Class Heroes. |
“The music came from a groove I had written for Gym Class Heroes, the hip-hop group, and it was supposed to be a hip-hop song and it didn’t really work as that. But I still, I was nodding my head to it. I liked it. I have this thing where if, before I make the melody if I read words, no matter what they are, they’re going to end up in it, and I made the mistake of reading some Fall Out Boy lyrics and it’s a Fall Out Boy song. So, that’s what happened to it.” |
Fall Out Boy is set to kick off their Honda Civic Tour starting May 11 in Denver. The band’s latest single is “Thks Fr Th Mmrs”. |
