EX-KORN GUITARIST HEAD READY TO HIT THE ROAD, EXIT FESTIVAL
Former Korn guitarist Head is finally ready to tour in support of his latest solo album Save Me From Myself. |
Former Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch is set to kick off his first solo tour this month in support of his album Save Me From Myself. The band features Von Heldt on guitar, Ralph Patlan on guitar, Michael Valentine on bass, Dan Johnson on drums, and Brian Ruedy doing the keyboard and programming honors. Head hasn’t been out on the road since he departed Korn nearly four years ago. |
So what’s it going to be like to tour with a new record and substance free? |
“Man, I haven’t played live in a long time. That’s going to be another hurdle to get over, just getting back onstage and singing live for the first time. Being in the front, and not on the side, being able to stop and drink and stuff. It’s crazy, but it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be cool. That’s my next hurdle to tackle and jump over.” |
Dates for the tour start May 14 in Colorado Springs. He not only has small clubs booked, he’ll also be part of the Exit concert in Las Vegas. Other artists confirmed for the August 29th festival so far include Blindside, P.O.D., and Flyleaf.rn |
