EPMD PLANNING A WORLD TOUR
Veteran rap act EPMD, which is comprised of Erick “E-Double” Sermon, Parrish “PMD” Smith and DJ Scratch, has reunited and the duo will perform at New York City’s B.B. King nightclub on Saturday, October 14th, as part of VH-1’s Hip Hop Honors Week. The group is currently putting together a world tour as well. |
The group’s DJ Scratch shared what fans can expect from the show. He said, |
“Well basically we gonna take it back to the Hit Squad tour at the Apollo 1992. I don’t want to give any, you know, give away any surprises but it’s gonna be crazy.” |
The Hit Squad consisted of EPMD, Redman, K-Solo, and Das EFX. |
EPMD hasn’t released a group project since 1999’s Out of Business. The group began their career in Brentwood, Long Island, in 1987. EPMD released six albums between 1988 and 1999, five of which were certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies. |
