EMMA ROBERTS SOLVES NANCY DREW MYSTERY
Teen detective Nancy Drew popular in mystery novels hits the big screen played by Emma Roberts, daughter of Eric and niece of Julia. The young sleuth investigates the death of an old movie star found dead in her pool, one of the greatest mysteries of all time. |
Emma talks about why Nancy Drew is still so popular. |
“I think she’s so appealing because she’s made it through all these years. She’s still around and yet kids younger than me and my age, older than me still find her so cool and interesting. And I think it’s just because she’s just a timeless character that no matter what era it is she fits in and she’s cool.” |
Emma talks about what makes Nancy so good at solving mysteries. |
“Nancy’s good at sleuthing because she pays attention to detail. She looks in places where nobody would think to look and really listens to what people say and how they act towards people. She’s very good at decoding body language and clues and that kind of stuff. I don’t know. She’s just a really good sleuther.” |
Emma, still a teenager herself wasn’t exempt from her studies. She had to attend school on the set while filming. This summer she’ll be back to work for the comedy Wild Child. Nancy Drew opens Friday in theaters. |
