EAGLE VS. SHARK STARS BONDED BY MOLE
A real mole on Eagle vs. Shark star Loren Horsley was used as a bonding device with Jemaine Clement. |
Eagle vs. Shark is a quirky comedy written and directed by New Zealander Taika Waititi who actually cast his friends Jemaine Clement soon to be seen in HBO’s Flight of The Conchords and Loren Horsley as two nerds who find love at a costume party. He is dressed as an eagle and she as a shark. |
In the film the couple also bond over matching moles they have over their lip. Taika explains why he gave Jemaine the same outstanding feature as Loren. |
“I thought it was a nice bit of someone who was like the mirror image of her. It’s a very defining feature on her. We had to darken her mole anyway.” |
Loren says kissing Jemaine with the fake mole was a bit tricky at times. |
“Jemaine’s mole kept on sliding all over the place. When he’d get sweaty it would move down his face and everyone was always really worried because it was shifting so much. When we would kiss it would land up on his cheek. Jemaine: I had suntan with the mole so if moved you could tell because there was this white patch.” |
Eagle vs. Shark is currently playing in theaters. |
