E-40 is experiencing a career resurgence and its partially due to his partnering with Lil Jon for his new album, My Ghetto Report Card. The album, which was released through Lil Jon’s BME label, was certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies. In addition to his own songs, E-40 is featured on Lil Jon’s latest hit, “Snap Yo Fingers.” |
The rapper explained how all the hit records were a product of spending time together in Atlanta’s Stankonia Recording Studios. He said, |
“Man you know when we got down, we was all in Stankonia Studios getting down. Me and Lil Jon, just the whole BME click, and we was all vibing man. And this is what it came out to be. It’s just everything hit at one time as far as ‘Tell Me When 2 Go,’ ‘U & Dat,’ the you know what I mean, ‘Snap Yo Fingers,’ all of it hit at one time. It was just meant to be. You smell me? Timing is everything pimp.” |
