DRAGONFORCE TO OFFER REISSUES OF EARLIER ALBUMS
Dragonforce is set to re-release two of it’s catalog albums prior to the success of Ultra Beatdown and its Guitar Hero status. |
Guitar Hero favorites Dragonforce are set to re-release their first two albums prior to Inhuman Rampage and the recent Ultra Beatdown. 2003’s Valley Of The Damned and 2004’s Sonic Firestorm will be rereleased through Spinefarm Records March 16, and they’ll also come in DVD forms and in Vinyl form. |
Guitarist Herman Li talked about how they view their earlier catalog. |
“We definitely listen to the first three albums that we’ve done, the three previous albums, before doing this album. It’s important for us to look back on what we’ve done so we know what we want to do again and what not to do again; what we’ve overdone on the last album. I think Inhuman Rampage was definitely a shredfest. It was fast all the way through. With Ultra Beatdown it’s definitely more dynamic. There’s much more different changes in tempo and things like that which actually makes it more interesting in a different way. It’s just a different style. You can’t really say which album is better than the other. Some people prefer the first album, some people prefer the second album, but I think this album has a different angle than the other ones.” |
He also said that there wasn’t any album that is more important than the others. |
“Well, I think every album is as important as each other because if the last album sucked we wouldn’t be here doing this and if this one sucked we probably won’t be doing this again. Everything counts. What can I say?” |
In April 2009 Dragonforce will embark on a second tour of the Far East. “Heroes Of Our Time” is nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance at the Grammy Awards, which takes place February 8 in Los Angeles. |
