DMX TO RELEASE RAP AND GOSPEL ALBUM
DMX signs new deal with BoDog Music. |
Rapper DMX recently signed a new deal with BoDog Music which is based in Canada. The rapper will release a new album, Walk With Me Now and You’ll Fly With Me Later, this year. The Walk With Me Now disc will feature hardcore rap while You’ll Fly With Me Later will feature gospel music. DMX explained, “A double album will make mutha****as mad, because they gotta spend more money — plus it’s already a long album. I’m talking about a hip-hop album and a gospel album….The same title is gonna be on both albums, but on one album one part (of the title) is gonna be (highlighted), the other album, the other name is gonna be (highlighted).” |
The album, which is the rapper’s first since his brief stint on Sony Records, will feature production by Swizz Beatz, PK, and Dame Grease. |

A gospel album isn’t much of a stretch for DMX who has included a prayer on most of his albums. The rapper, who one day plans to become a minister, offered some words of wisdom during a Sony press conference. He said, |
