DMX TO RELEASE RAP AND GOSPEL ALBUM

DMX signs new deal with BoDog Music.

Rapper DMX recently signed a new deal with BoDog Music which is based in Canada. The rapper will release a new album, Walk With Me Now and You’ll Fly With Me Later, this year. The Walk With Me Now disc will feature hardcore rap while You’ll Fly With Me Later will feature gospel music. DMX explained, “A double album will make mutha****as mad, because they gotta spend more money — plus it’s already a long album. I’m talking about a hip-hop album and a gospel album….The same title is gonna be on both albums, but on one album one part (of the title) is gonna be (highlighted), the other album, the other name is gonna be (highlighted).”

The album, which is the rapper’s first since his brief stint on Sony Records, will feature production by Swizz Beatz, PK, and Dame Grease.

“Lord you take care of fools and babies. Teach women to honor their men and men respect their ladies. But lately so many of us have gone astray, doing wrong for so long that we forgotten the way. Please bring us back home. Instill in us the word which is our backbone. We’re just children that act grown. There is so much that we’re entitled to yet we receive so little. In this time of spiritual warfare we’re comfortable in the middle. So I pray that you open our eyes. Give us the anointing to recognize the devil and his lies. If we keep our actions wise and our prayers sincere, our heads to the sky, may you dimish our fears. Jesus by your named we have prayed. Amen.”

A gospel album isn’t much of a stretch for DMX who has included a prayer on most of his albums. The rapper, who one day plans to become a minister, offered some words of wisdom during a Sony press conference. He said,
