DMX DECLARES 2006 YEAR OF THE DOG

Rapper DMX is busy working on his next album entitled “Year of the Dog, Again.” X held press conference last week explaining the importance of this album. “This album is a big album for me because for a minute I got fed up with the industry,” X shared Thursday night. I know that my true calling in life is to become a pastor. So I said maybe if I walk away from this rap sh*t now, God will call me. I waited and I waited and he didn’t call, so I called Ma$e because I know he made that transition.”

However, X felt a responsibility to his fans that have been affected by his music. “I do this sh*t for the people that come to me and say ‘This song got me through a rough time in my life, or this song motivated me in the morning to go to work, or this is the song I work out to, this is the song I fu*k to.’ Whatever.”

“Year of the Dog, Again” is scheduled for release Aug. 1 and will feature production by Swizz Beatz, Scott Storch and Dame Grease.
