DISTURBED SURGERY SUCCESS, VMA SNUB
(VIDEO) Disturbed and vocalist David Draiman’s surgically repaired setptum made their way to the post-MTV VMA with a worthy, but un recognized video… |
Disturbed may have made the best video not to be honored with an MTV Video Music Award nomination. The band teamed with Todd McFarlane to do the artwork for the accompanying animated clip to “Land Of Confusion.” |
caught up with David Draiman after the awards show to ask him why the band’s video wasn’t included for award consideration. |
“I feel like a little fish in a big pond (laughs). What can I say? It’s a little weird, man, to be honest. Unfortunately the song didn’t move up quickly enough yet. It’s always timing, timing. We always seem to be a little bit behind the ball as far as timing. What are you gonna do?” |
As previously reported, Draiman underwent surgery to repair a deviated septum, and he told us that the surgery was successful. |
“[It went] really well. [It happened] two weeks ago. I sang for the first time last night since the surgery. Metal School was playing over at (New York City club) Snitch for one of the parties and they asked me to come up there and do a couple of tunes, and it felt really, really good. So I’m…confident.” |
Disturbed is now off to Europe to play some dates and they have set up their Music As A Weapon tour with Stone Sour, Flyleaf and few other bands that will be announced at a later date. |
