DISPATCH ZIMBABWE DVD IN STORES, DANNY CLINCH HELMS
World renown visual artist Danny Clinch put together the Dispatch Concert for Zimbabwe at Madsion Square Garden, and Heimbold discusses filming. |
Dispatch: Zimbabwe – Live at Madison Square Garden arrived in stores earlier this week, and the benefit collection features more than just the concert. There are plenty of bonus features including backstage looks at rehearsals, and other trinkets that are a must for any fan of the band. |
The film was shot by the world renown visual artist Danny Clinch, and Dispatch’s Pete Heimbold talked about securing Clinch’s services to film the benefit DVD. |
“I just really always admired his work, and I called him and I said that we are going to do a concert benefitting Zimbabwe, and it’s going to be at Madison Square Garden. I spoke with the other guys in the band about it, and they were very excited about it. We wanted to work with a film maker who is a true visionary, who I think Danny is, so he was really helpful on where the cameras would be and how it would look.” |
A portion of the net proceeds from “Dispatch: Zimbabwe – Live at Madison Square Garden” DVD will also be donated to the Dispatch Foundation and its efforts in Zimbabwe. For more information, check out dispatchmusic.com and dispatchfoundation.org. For the record the band sold-out an impressive three nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City, as opposed to the smaller theater also located as part of the Garden. |
