DIDDY GIVES THE LOX BACK THEIR PUBLISHING
Sean “Diddy” Combs is good guy especially if you ask the Lox. The mogul recently gave the group back its publishing but it wasn’t until they locked horns during a very public confrontation on the airwaves of New York’s WQHT-FM. Following the beef, the two camp’s met and according to Styles P of the Lox, Diddy came through. The rapper said, “What he did was sweet. He came back [with his offer] and I almost jumped out my seat. Basically, he gave us all our publishing back. He didn’t have to do what he did. In the business world, what he did, was like a four-leaf clover. The results was great. What he did for us, he didn’t have to do. What he did for us was splendid. He made it so much easier. He made our business beautiful.” |
Combs acquired a portion of the group’s publishing when he signed them to his Bad Boy Entertainment label in the mid-90s. The group left the label after releasing their platinum debut, 1998’s Money, Power & Respect. |
