Atlanta-based rap quartet Dem Franchize Boyz recently released the third single and video, “Ridin Rims,” from their gold certified sophomore album, On Top Of Our Game. The song’s video features cameos by Jermaine Dupri, Funkmaster Flex, and Blink 182’s Travis Barker. The group, which has been touring the United States heavily, will travel to Jamaica for a show in Negril next month.

Dem Franchize Boyz are happy with their success but a little concerned that people will give all the credit to So So Def and Virgin Urban music head Jermaine Dupri. Group member Jizzal Man explained that the group wrote and produced their entire new album with the exception of one song with UGK that Dupri produced. He said,

“Yeah it’s both at the same time even though he did produce one hot hell of a record on there with the Underground Kingz on it, Bun B and Pimp C. Everybody gonna try to give him overhead credit on this one. They gonna real think well dog you say that and wrote them boys whole album. When really he ain’t do nothing but one record on the album.”

Dem Franchize Boyz recently released a Chooped & Screwed version of On Top Of Our Game. The group is also working on new projects for several acts that they’re developing for their Franchize Record label.
