DEM FRANCHIZE BOYZ MOVING FORWARD WITHOUT JERMAINE DUPRI
Dem Franchize Boyz set to release third album. |
Atlanta-based rap quartet Dem Franchize Boyz will release their second album for Virgin Records and third overall, Da Point Of No Return, on March 25th. The first single from the new album is “Talkin’ Out Da Side of Ya Neck!” |
The album will be the group’s first since Jermaine Dupri left Virgin Records. The super-producer brought the group over to Virgin Records through his So So Def imprint but he’s since become the president of urban music at Island Records. |
“Well you know we still got a relationship with JD, you know what I’m sayin’? He over at Def Jam Island right now, you know what I’m sayin’? We stayed at Virgin Capitol, you know what I’m sayin’, and JD can’t do anything outside of his contract right now. So it’s in contract, we gonna respect that, you know what I’m sayin’? But we still got a relationshop. We still at home in Atlanta in Club 72, Jermaine Dupri club, up there kicking it with him. The love still there. It’s all good.” |
Dem Franchize Boyz member Parlae explained that the group is still cool with Dupri. He said, |
The new album will feature production by Mannie Fresh, Jazze Pha, Marvelous J, Maestro, Young Juve, and group members Parlae and Pimpin’. |
The project also features guest appearances by T-Pain and R&B singer Pleasure, formerly of Pretty Ricky. |
