DELTA FARCE SERGEANT STEALS JOKES

Keith David stole jokes from his comedic co-stars in Delta Farce.

Keith David, most recently appearing as Pastor Watkins on ER plays the tough as nails drill sergeant in Delta Farce who has to whip three loser Army reservists into overnight shape for a mission to Iraq.

David who normally appears in dramatic roles talks about working with comedians Larry The Cable Guy and Bill Engvall.

“It’s fun for me because I just get to do what I do and react and play off of them. It’s a great blend, a wonderful mix because I get to be the straight man and sometimes be a little funny and like I said hang around a bunch of great guys.”

David admits to stealing some of their material for his own personal stash.

“When you’re working with comedians the great thing is I love a good joke and I love to tell good jokes myself and when you’re working with comedians the best thing about being here you know for most of the day I hear some great jokes. Most of which I can’t repeat to you but I get some pretty funny stuff for my own material box.”

Delta Farce opens Friday in theaters.
