DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE PLANS AFFECTED BY SNOWSTORM
Death Cab For Cutie recently released their new album, Plans, and after debuting at Number 4 the band has settled in at Number 47 on the Top 200 Album chart. The album is spurred on by their first single “Soul Meets Body.” |
The band recently taped a performance at the Nokia Theater as part of the Nokia Unwired show, and it was there that they revealed that a snowstorm may have put a little crimp in their plans. Ben Gibbard talked about their meteorological obstacle. |
“Uh, a snowstorm. There was a snowstorm on the way, and an ice storm on the way, from New York to Boston on the train, and we almost didn’t get there but we did. So once that obstacle was out of the way we were able to get to the studio OK and start recording.” |
Death Cab For Cutie kicks off a tour of the United States starting October 3 and 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia, which is a short distance from their hometown, Seattle, Washington. |
