Anya Marina, who’s song “Satellite Heart” was the second track made available prior to the soundtrack’s release will also be headlining the nationwide tour and she talked with Artisan News about quickly becoming a fan of “The Twilight Saga.” |
“When I was asked to be apart of the soundtrack I was taken aback because I was really sort of on The Twilight band wagon if you will but I was approached by the director and he wanted to know if I wanted to come see the film. So I said ‘Of course! Sure!’ Considering most of my friends would have cut off their right limb to see “New Moon” and I quickly became a fan. The film was so great and the books are phenomenal too.” |
Artisan News also caught up with Band of Skulls to get their thoughts on being apart of The New Moon Soundtrack. |
“Yeah we were really pleased. Mainly for us as musicians to be on the same record as some artists that we really respect and then of course we’re really interested to see where our song will be used in the movie and how it will look with the visuals. It will be really interesting to us.”rn |
We also caught up with Alex Brown Church of Sea Wolf to get his thoughts on being asked to be on the “New Moon” soundtrack. |
“You know I didn’t actually know what ‘New Moon’ was when they asked me if I wanted to have a song in it. So at first I was like ‘Oh what’s that?’ and then they told me what it was and I was like ‘Oh that’s cool!’ And then I found out the other bands that are on the soundtrack Death Cab for Cutie and Thom Yorke and The Grizzly Bear…The Grizzly Bear, Grizzly Bear and yeah that was pretty exciting.” |
The nationwide tour will make stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle and Minneapolis before the final show November 14th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cast members Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jamie Campbell Bower, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Chaske Spencer, and Bronson Pelletier will make selected appearances alongside musical performances from Anya Marina and Hurricane Bells. |
