DAVID HASSELHOFF CLICKS OFF HIS EGO
David Hasselhoff stars in Click as Adam Sandler’s self-absorbed architect boss who gets his comeuppance when Sandler clicks off his massive ego with a touch of his magic remote control. Hasselhoff describes the character.rn |
Hasselhoff who perfected the art of running in slo-mo on the beach in Baywatch felt liberated by the use of an actual script in Click. Hasselhoff says he was humbled by the encouragement from director Frank Coraci and Sandler to get it right. |
“I play Mr. Ammer. Actually I didn’t really know his first name until the third day on the set because it never occurred to me. John Amer. And I am a kind of an over the top guy who just loves life, loves women, has lots of money, goes to the Hamptons on weekends, wears glasses like this. He’s very happy with life because he’s rich and he’s on top of the world and a little over the top. A little bit insulting but doesn’t really know it. He thinks he’s funny all the time.” |
Hasselhoff most recently played someone who he knows best, himself in Kickin it Old Skool.rn |
“I’m used to doing 27 Baywatches in two days. There were no scripts. But this was right, right on the spot and I liked that. Give me another joke, give me another one. They were really giving. Oh yeah try it this way or try it that way so you kind of check your ego at the door.” |
