DAVID GRAY TRIES TO BALANCE FAMILY AND TOURING

(VIDEO) David Gray is currently touring while being away from his young children. How does he feel about it? The camera reveals all!

David Gray is currently touring the United States in support of his new album, Live In Slow Motion. Gray has been working tirelessly both in the States and the U.K. to promote the album from the second the collection was done.

The only downside of it is that he has had to take time away from being with his newborn baby. Gray now has two children, and he admits that being away is a rough road for him. We asked him how he balances the life of a father and husband and the life as a musician.

“Yeah, good question. I don’t know. It’s a situation that I’m trying to keep my eye on. I’m trying to keep a sense of equilibrium by not touring for any great lengths of time. All that’s meant is that basically I’m touring, I’m going away for two weeks and then I’m back for a few days and then I’m away for a couple of weeks so it all adds up in the end. And I just realized on this trip that now we’ve been away for the majority of the last few months really promoting and now touring. I’ve suddently, I’m in that state of mind where I’m slightly sort of disconnected from normal life and the only thing that feels normal is doing a show.”

Gray is currently in the U.S. through November 6. He then takes a three week break before embarking on a tour of the U.K. Gray is currently having huge success with the track “The One I Love,” and he recently performed the tune on the Late Show With David Letterman.
