DAVID BANNER LANDS ROLE IN JUICE CREW MOVIE

David Banner to play Biz Markie in new Juice Crew movie…..

Rapper David Banner is the latest star to be added to the cast of The Vapors, a new movie based on the infamous Juice Crew, which was formed in the Queensbridge Housing Projects in New York City in the late ’80s. Banner will play the role of Biz Markie. The cast will also includes Cuba Gooding Jr., who will play Marley Marl; KeKe Palmer, who will play Roxanne Shante; Clifton Powell, who will be Mr. Magic; and Idris Elba as Fly Ty.

The movie will be directed by Furquaan Clover and will chronicle the rise of the rap collective, which included Mr. Magic, MC Shan, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Craig G, Tragedy Khadafi, Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, Roxanne Shante, TJ Swan, and Cool V.

“I mean I think that’s one of the the things that we’re losing in America as a whole. You know is the sense of family, the sense of togetherness. You know I think that’s one of the things that’s really important about this movie because no matter what happens everybody has their own separate problems but together as a unit, we’re one.”

The Vapors is expected to go into production in January with Marley Marl, Roxanne Shante and Big Daddy Kane.
