DAVE NAVARRO PANIC CHANNEL A CATHARSIS FOR CARMEN ELECTRA SPLIT
Supergroup, The Panic Channel, have released their debut album, titled ‘(ONe)’ and the band features legendary musicians Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, Chris Chaney along with vocal Steve Issacs. The Panic Channel is a rebirth for Navarro, who was instrumental in Janes Addiction and briefly in The Red Hot Chili Peppers, but now emerges with a few old friends to form The Panic Channel. |
The guitarist talks about songwriting for the album being a cathartic release from the trials of life, considering his recent divorce with Carmen Electra. |
“Songwriting has always been a cathartic process certainly lyrically for Steve but me as a guitar player I’m able to turn to my instrument in times of joy and times of sadness and basically to help express and really get out what’s going on with me as an artist and collectively as a band. I think that’s what has drawn us to musical expression to begin with.” |
The Panic Channel have recently released a new video for the track “Teahouse of the Spirits”. It was shot while the band was out on tour last Spring and includes live footage primarily from New York and LA with some rehearsal space stuff as well. The band has also announced they will be the opening up for Supernova on the Rockstar Supernova Tour in January and February of 2007. Stay tuned for final dates which have yet to be released. |
