DAVE MATTHEWS SAYS FARTS ARE DESTROYING ENVIRONMENT
Dave Matthews, organizer of Farm Aid and recent Live Earth participant, says that the destructive power of the fart should be harnessed. |
Dave Matthews was a participant at the Live Earth concerts earlier this month, and he’s no stranger to earthly support. Matthews has become one of the key organizers of Farm Aid, and he said that there may be another factor besides fossil fuels contributing to the breakdown of the earth’s ecosystem. |
Matthews said that, all kidding aside, flatulence by both humans and animals can have a very bad impact on the environment both indoors and out. |
“Cow farts… Cow farts, harness the energy. We don’t have any cows in Seattle because apparently cow farts are a big, enormous, some would argue Number One problem. We need to harness the energy of cow farts, so I’ll do what I can. I’m flawed. Cows fart and so do I.” |
Matthews will play the first Farm Aid in the Big Apple, September 9, at Randalls Island. He’ll be performing a solo acoustic set, and he’ll be joined by other Farm Aid founders Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and Willie Nelson. Meanwhile, the debate continues about whether or not Live Earth had a substantial impact. Most experts agree that judgment on the effectiveness of Al Gore’s festival will have to wait at least two to three years. |
