DAUGHTRY LOOKS TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN 2009
Former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry is taking his sweet time working on the follow-up to his debut, but will there be guest appearances? |
Chris Daughtry is taking his time with the follow-up to his self-titled debut album, Daughtry. The former American Idol contestant was helped out by Slash on the album, and he also has cred, appearing on albums by Theory Of A Deadman and Sevendust. The self-titled album is still Number 4 among the top digital albums in the SoundScan era. |
Daughtry recently posted on his website that he’s really taking his time with the album, and we asked him earlier this year if there will be any collaborations on the next effort. |
“Well right now I’m not sure if as far as our record, we’re trying to do it as a band and have it more organic than the last one. We’ll see what happens. We’ve been writing for months, ever since we’ve been on the road.” |
Daughtry rang in the new year as part of Fox-TV’s New Year’s Eve special singing home. As for the timing of the new album Daughtry didn’t give any promises. “Considering it could make or break us. We’re over writing, over tracking, and taking our sweet time.” |
