DANITY KANE ON GROUP NAME

MTV’s Making The Band 3 group, Danity Kane, released their self-titled debut late last month and the set entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number One. This week the album is holding strong at Number Four.

The group’s Dawn explained how they came up with their name. She said, rn

“We basically wanted a name that we could define and you know Diddy had given us a name called Queen Five and we were not having that. So we thought it would be really cool, five girls under one name that we can define, Danity Kane.”

The group is hoping to side step the Making The Band jinx. The first Making The Band group, O Town, lasted long enough to release two albums. The second, Bad Boy’s Da Band, disbanded after their debut project.rn
