DANIEL RADCLIFFE READY TO MOVE ON FROM HARRY POTTER
After five Harry Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe is ready for different acting challenges. |
Daniel Radcliffe grew up on screen as the bespectacled boy of wizardry in the Harry Potter series and after five films of attending Hogwarts School he’s ready for new challenges. |
Daniel says Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix finally gave him the opportunity to prove his acting skills. |
“It amazes people for some reason that after five films I’d still be enjoying it but I do and on the fifth more than any of the others I had the best time simply because of the acting challenges that were around. David was a perfect director because I was really up for sinking my teeth into the part this time.” |
Daniel says he’s already set the wheels in motion for several acting projects that have nothing to do with casting spells and fighting dark lords. |
“I would never want to just completely distance myself from Harry because I’m incredibly proud of the films particularly this one and I loved playing Harry. But yeah it is important to me to show that I can do other roles and hopefully Equus was a step towards showing people that and so will hopefully the other films. I’m doing a film later this year for TV, and another film will be coming out later this year I did in Australia called December Boys. So hopefully people will start to see me as an actor rather than the actor who plays Harry Potter.” |
Of course there’s two more films to be made, Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince, and the final chapter Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. |
