Damian Marley, who is gearing up for a North American tour with Ben Harper and has seen his album ‘Welcome to Jamrock’ become a hit, has grown up with some pretty big shoes to fill. Being the son of the father of reggae music, Bob Marley, and being raised by his mother Rita surrounded by Ziggy, Stephen and his sister, Damian certainly knows about legacies. We recently caught up with Damian to discuss his fathers music and the legacy that continues to grow. |
Damian Marley is set to kick off a North American tour with Damian Marley. The tour will kick off August 10th in Phoenix, Arizona and will conclude when both performs appear at Austin City Limits Festival, September 17th. “As far as legacy, I view his legacy different than most people do because to me his legacy is my brothers and sisters and it’s all of us as a family because we definitly build it together, you know what I mean. We build music as a team together, most of our business ventures are together so to me my family is the legacy that I enjoy from my father.” |
