DA BRAT STILL REPPING FOR SO SO DEF

Da Brat hasn’t released an album since 2003’s Limelite, Luv & Niteclubz but the rapper has been busy ghostwriting for various artists and working with her mentor Jermaine Dupri. Da Brat, who is the first female solo rapper to go platinum, is also working on a new album which she plans to release next year.

Recently the rapper shared how proud she was of So So Def. She said,

“I’m happy to be part of the foundation of So So Def., you know what I’m sayin’? I was the first rapper on So So Def. So Xscape ain’t on it no more, so that makes me like the only lady on So So Def. I love So So Def. It’s tattooed on me. Jermaine Dupri forever for life. I’m rep to the death of me, from the womb to the tomb.”

So So Def’s roster over the years has included Jagged Edge, Xscape. Bow Wow, Anthony Hamilton, Dem Franchize Boyz, and others.
