CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR PANIC AT THE DISCO INSPIRATION
Cute Is What We Aim For were able to take a chance for their new effort, Rotation, thanks to Panic At The Disco’s latest effort. |
Cute Is What We Aim For is one of many bands on the Fueled By Ramen label, and one of those whose sound is developing on each album. Their latest album, Rotation, is slightly more mature lyrically and musically than its predecessor, The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch. |
Cute Is What We Aim For may have been inspired to spread their figurative wings after hearing how Panic At The Disco evolved on their latest effort, Pretty. Odd., and we asked Shaant and the rest of the band if they were inspired by their label mates. |
“We see it, it’s evident. But I think that, as with anything, it’s as if we’re dressed in high school in a way, when we go to college we’re most likely going to, hopefully, progress and our tastes become more diverse. And I think that goes on with everyone. Upon going through a record cycle, it’s insane. Two years fly before your eyes. You do so much and you see so many things and you’re all over the world at such a young age. So we’re all just sponges. I think the Panic guys are the same way. They had their horizons broadened and we did as well. Certainly so, but I think that’s why it happens.” |
Cute Is What We Aim For is currently on tour hitting Tempe, Arizona on Friday, July 18. The tour ends August 17th in Columbus, Ohio. The band’s latest single is “Practice Makes Perfect.” For more information go to cuteiswhatweaimfor.com. |
