CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR HEADLINE FIRST EVER AP TOUR
Cute is What We Aim For have been creating quite a buzz on the strength of their debut album ‘The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch’ evening being nominated for Spin Magazines Artist of the Year for 2007. The band was also approached by Alternative Press Magazine, an industry leader in Alternative Music, to headline their first ever AP Tour and the band couldn’t have been more excited to not only headline the tour, but grace the cover of the Magazine as well. |
We caught up with lead vocalist Shaant and lead guitarist Jeff Czum to discuss their thoughts on being approached by Alternative Press to headline their first ever US Tour, which is quite an honor for the band. |
“I think just (making) the cover of Alternative Press, I think that’s insane because we’re up there with bands like Taking Back Sunday, Green Day and Blink. It’s crazy. I literally shook, I started shaking because if you open the article and read, you’ll see pictures of my room, which has Alternative Press cut outs everywhere, from the ceiling to the wall, everywhere. So it’s so impressive and it still gets me excited.” |
Cute is What We Aim For are also apart of The Take Action! Volume 6 compilation, which is currently in stores now! This 2 CD / 1 DVD set featuring 72 tracks and videos from the biggest names in punk, indie and hardcore music, including Cute Is What We Aim For, My Chemical Romance, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Taking Back Sunday and Underoath. The band is currently on The AP Tour with As Tall As Lions, Circa Survive and Envy on the Coast with dates extending until April 22nd in Boston. Look for the band to briefly head to Europe supporting New Found Glory and All American Rejects before heading back to the US to headline The Warped Tour this summer. |
