CUBA GOODING JR RUNS DADDY DAY CAMP
Cuba Gooding Jr. buys a dilapidated summer camp in Daddy Day Camp. |
Summer may be winding down but camp is still in session in Daddy Day Camp, the sequel to Daddy Day Care starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. who takes over his childhood camp and some unruly campers |
Cuba teams up with Air Buddies star Paul Rae to relive some of their camper memories. |
“We get to the camp and our rival camp is now this beautiful camp with valets and waiters running around with hot dogs on platters and beautiful camp Mercedes and ATVs and boats and jet skis and our camp where we want our kids to go Driftwood; when we get to it it’s just beaten and run down and not even open anymore. We go to camp and realize that the camp we grew up going to is being closed down so we decide to buy it, go into partnership and buy it and all hell breaks loose.” |
It doesn’t take long before bunks are being blown up and the kids are taking over. Cuba attributes their energy to consuming massive amounts of sugar at craft services. |
“Kids are insane. I don’t know if you’ve ever been on a movie set but there’s always a craft service table and there’s always candy and these kids know that and they take advantage of it. It’s been interesting. I think it’s great though because that’s the exact energy we want to have at Daddy Day Camp.” |
The Wonder Years star Fred Savage directs Daddy Day Camp, opening August 8th in theaters. |
