Trust the Man stars Billy Crudup and David Duchovny play best buds in the film who also happen to be related by marriage as David is married to Billy’s sister played by Julianne Moore. In real life David’s wife is Fun With Dick and Jane star Tea Leoni, and unlike his character he says he didn’t rush into marriage.

And Billy wishes he were more like his character, a guy where everything just seems to glide off his back even a confrontation for a coveted parking spot in New York.

“No I didn’t married till later. I guess I was 36 when I got married, 35 so certainly no it wasn’t something that I was dying to do. Billy: I didn’t realize you were that old. David: Yeah, you haven’t seen me naked in awhile. Billy: In awhile. It’s been awhile.”

“There’s a scene where I tell a guy that he can’t park in my spot because I’m not leaving and the guy shoots me the finger and says F off. My character goes, ‘yeah sucker.’ Whereas I’d be, ‘he shot me the finger. He must hate me. I’m a loathsome person.’ I would spend the rest of the eight hours looking for him to give him the spot because I felt so terrible. So I really liked playing the guy where things only mildly affected him one way or the other. David: Knowing you I like to know that because now I can take advantage. Billy: Oh and you will but we’re not working together anymore. David: But as a person I can take advantage of that.”
