CREED CONFIRMS REUNION
Creed have finally officially confired their reunion with a tour starting in August and new album on the way, and Tremonti talks about lessons learned. |
As tipped here nearly two months ago by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Creed has confirmed that they will not only tour this year, but that they have a brand new album on the way. All four original members, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips, Scott Stapp and Mark Tremonti will be getting back together. On the band’s website, Tremonti said, “We’re all very excited to reconnect with our fans and each other after six long years.” The members are not giving up on their other projects as both Stapp and Alter Bridge will still continue to make music and tour. |
Tremonti hopes that the band can get past some of the differences they had, and in a previous interview he talked about the lessons he’s learned about Creed’s experience the first time around. |
“Not taking yourselves way too seriously, just doing it to have fun and not worrying about every little detail. You don’t have to get to the point where you have to ask sixteen people to get something done. Back in the Creed days if you needed a simple decision to be made it took you three weeks. The system just broke down. We keep it all just for fun. We’ve been there. If it ever turns into that business again…That’s not why we’re doing this, so if that happens we’ll fix it a soon as happens.” |
Cities have been booked, but venues are still being solidified. The 41 date tour will start in Pittsburgh on August 6th and is currently booked through October 14th in Nashville. According to Rolling Stone the album is to be titled Full Circle. |
