CORNELL RESPONDS TO YAHOO MUSIC SLAM OF SELF AND AUDIOSLAVE
Yahoo music has taken a shot at Chris Cornell saying he “Jumped The Shark” meaning he wasn’t great for his work with Audioslave, and Chris responds. |
Many are claiming that Yahoo! Music is reaching at straws to spark their new music blogging page, and to many their credibility has taken a hit. One particular article by Shawn Amos has Chris Cornell on a list of those Jumping The Shark for joining with Audioslave. With post upon post blasting the author for including Cornell, the publicity stunt worked making it one of the more popular blogs on the site. |
Artisan News caught up with Cornell at this year’s MusiCares event in Los Angeles right before the Grammys and asked him about Yahoo! Music’s dislike for his abilities and credibility. |
“Well, it’s… They have to be somewhat ignorant of the bands that I’ve been in and who wrote a lot of the songs that they would know me from. So, it can be some reactionary nonsense that has a forum. That’s what it is.” |
Cornell was lumped in with John Mayer, Elton John, Rod Stewart, and Snoop Dogg. Meanwhile, Chris Cornell is taking a chance with a new solo effort titled Scream, during which he partnered with producer Timbaland. |
