Queensbridge-based rapper Cormega released a new documentary and soundtrack, titled Who Am I?, late last year. The project covered four years of the rapper’s life and was packaged with five previously unreleased Cormega videos. |
Now Cormega is putting the finishing touches on a new album which he plans to release in June. The first single from the project is “Fresh” featuring Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Parrish Smith, Grand Puba, and Red Alert. |
“Yo the album is gonna be out this summer man, the Cormega solo album. This is the solo album. I haven’t put out a solo album is six years. The last thing I did was the Who Am I? DVD that’s out right now. I did the Legal Hustle album. I did the joint with Lake, you know what I’m sayin’? And prior to that I did the Realness and True Meaning. The Realness was my first album. True Meaning was my second album. My third solo album will be out this summer in ’08, you know what I’m sayin’? It’s gonna be hard. If it’s not hard, I’m retiring, straight up.” |
Cormega said he may retire if he doesn’t get the correct reaction to the new album. The rapper said, |
