Rapper Consequence has had sevearl deals since making his debut on A Tribe Called Quest’s 1996 album, Beats, Rhymes & Life. But eventually the rapper was forced to take a job as security on an Estee Lauder loading dock in Long Island. He’s decided to drawn on that experience in titling his new album. Consequence explained,

Consequence will finally release his debut solo album, Don’t Quit Your Day Job, on March 6th. The album features guest appearances by Kanye West and John Legend.

“Essentially this has been my day job for like I said, I started I was doing this professionally since 16, 17. So I think it’s really that time that I had to go back to work is what taught me don’t quit your day job. Whatever you do, do what you do and do it to the fullest.”

The first single from the project is “Callin Me.”
