COMMON STILL WORKING ON NEW ALBUM

Common took a break from recording his new album, Finding Forever, to shoot his role in the forthcoming movie, American Gangster. The Ridley Scott-directed film also stars Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, RZA, and T.I., and is slated to hit theaters next year.

So far Common has recorded with Kanye West, Will.I.Am, and the late Jay Dilla, but the rapper still hasn’t decided on a single. He said,

“Yeah you know we got some ideas but I guess I could say something right now and it might change tomorrow. So you know I’ll just you know wait until it’s official what we gonna do. But right now we’re doing a great album.”

Common will release Finding Forever in March. The rapper’s last release was 2005’s gold-certified, Be.
