It’s a good thing that Colin Farell and Jamie Foxx got along off screen because they play an undercover detective team Crockett and Tubbs who are connected to the hip in Miami Vice. Colin and Jamie put aside their egos and star status revealing their real selves to each other while shooting the buddy cop film. Colin says they clicked from day one.

Jamie might be spoiling our perception of Colin Farrell as Hollywood’s number one troublemaker by revealing his softer side.

“It was just really easy from the start from the first time I met him. You know he’s just very laid back and he’s high energy and we joke and all but when push comes to the shove he gets the work done. He has his family around him the whole time. He’s just a good man. I just enjoyed being around him from day one.”

This updated and grittier Miami Vice deals with how their respective personal and professional lives become dangerously intertwined.

“What you don’t get to see a lot of times because you see Colin Farrell, you see the bad boy. You see the charismatic obviously good looking cat that just knock ‘em dead. But the same thing to see him with his mom, his father, his sister, it blows your mind. And to watch him from a distance because you want to check if he’s really cool. Then he walks up and he engages people and he talks and he’s happy about it. But people get to a certain point in their career and their lives where sometimes they just shut it all off and to see a person with the lights still on and they’re just enjoying every minute, it’s cool.”
